>>44263831Even aside from the Hoenn starters, a fair few mega-capable pokemon will be returning. Nothing good can come of reading this far into patterns, but I can't help but notice a trend between the returning Hoenn and Unova pokemon. Every generation's legendaries and fossils are coming back, but in Hoenn and Unova, besides those, the only returning pokemon are Walrein and Cryogonal, who suit a tundra ecologically, and a bunch of pokemon that can mega evolve. They'd still be leaving out a handful of megas though, including some from Kanto even though they're bringing a bunch of (different) Kanto pokemon back.
