Carnists bring up the whole euthanasia of cats and dogs that no one would adopt, as if that isn't their fault too, for refusing to spay and neuter their pets, then giving up on taking care of their pets when they grow old, as if PETA could just keep all of those cats and dogs alive despite them being old and sick and unwanted. But I don't think it's even worth refuting at this point, because carnists will always bring up the whole " Peta kills animals" thing, no matter how many times it's been debunked, and despite the fact that the people behind the campaign and website were exposed as a meat industry think tank.
PETA is great at shitposting, though. The images and memes they create are evergreen.
