>>57287471He's right, but also a gay furry and retarded for trying to justify it like this. AI is just a tool like any other. All the zoomie zooms weren't even fetuses when Photoshop came out, this same exact fucking argument is just rehashed from the early 90's when traditional artists thought digital art tools were cheating and took the skill and soul out of art. Traditional art has the ability to look way better than anything digital (just look at old fucking cell anime with hand painted backgrounds) but that doesn't stop the industry from moving forwards and people from adapting.
At the end of the day, AI is just going to be included in artist's toolsets as they gradually stop being crabs in a bucket and making retarded takes like the OP furry. Japanese artists are already on board with this, there's much less backlash there. Some of them care, but a larger portion of them are just recognizing you can use it as a creative privative, especially if you're using local models that you can granularly fine-tune and have much more control over the output; even to the point where you can feed it lineart and have it do a decent job at making shading maps for you to use as guidelines and such. Most of the super complex AI tools and guides are in Japanese. They're killing it over there with using it as an actual tool to improve their art flow while the untalented zoomer babies in the west who look up to all their weeb art gods are crying and witch hunting each other.
3D models already use similar tools. Nobody fucking calculates the light sources by hand to apply shadows on 3D models, the computer does that shit for them. 2D art has that power now. Anyone who doesn't think stuff like that would be helpful for artists is fucking retarded. Doubly so if you think professional workplaces won't mandate you turn your 10 hour job into fucking 2 hours and fuck your pride because your pride is wasting money.
