Let's say, a board is a few hundred posts away from a major GET, like 700000000 or 111111111 or something. If a mod were to move a thread from, say, /vg/, right before that GET, since the thread moves INSTANTLY and all post numbers are assigned immediately, a moderator, for the first time in 4chan's history, could literally "modGET" his way into any GET he wanted to. All he would have to do is post a locked thread on /vg/, break the post timer for himself, post 500+ times, then move the thread over when it was time for the GET. Even worse, he could make one of these threads on a "hidden" board, and no one would know any better.
How does this make you feel knowing the mods have this kind of power now?
