>>46389775You are wrong. The zodiac doesn't work on absolutes. When the zodiac shows a rat. It doesn't mean rats and only rats. It extends to other rat like rodents such as nice shrew ect. That's why GFs year of the rat includes non rat pokemon like sandshrew because it's completely superfluous to the zodiac. Same thing with the dog zodiac. Any dog like creature such as wolves and foxes is represented by the zodiac. Going by your logic the zodiac would be invalid as well in gen 1,3, and 5, because charizard is a western dragon, blaziken is a Shamo chicken, and Emboar is a wild boat not a pig. These distinctions are superfluous, everyone except super neurotic people like yourself understand this.
Actually sit down and think about how OLD the zodiac is. Do you think the ancient Chinese understood the taxonomy of various animals before that knowledge was even known? No you dummy, to them mice shrew and other shit like that were all just different types of rates. Foxes were just magical dogs that had mystical properties associated with them. The zodiac isn't rigid like you think it is. The flexibility allows GF to be creative with there choices, like making fenniken a fox because foxes are associated with mythical powers in Asian cultures rather than just a regular dog.
When GF makes a fire starter that's a bear or some other animal that doesn't relate at all to the zodiac, then I and most other Zodiac Chad's will resign. But considering that it's been 8 generations and it hasn't happened yet (I just explained the gen 2 and 6 cases), I'm pretty sure we're right.
