Now i'll be honest. Greninja is nearly guaranteed to be in, and though i DO want him in, I'm 99% sure i'll be disappointed with its moveset, if smash is any indication. In fact, there was a similar discussion on /v/ some time ago that would transliterate to the playstyle i wanted it to have. Copypasted here:
>Design-wise, Greninja seemed like it'd be a versatile, stance-oriented character. I thought maybe we'd get the "Scarfed" stance: A Strider influenced, super fast version of itself similar to how Greninja plays now with super high jumps (because frog) and lots of ninja tricks like spike setups and substitutes that work like in the actual game with focus on in-your-face aggresion at the cost of weak on-hit knockback.
>But also having a "Unscarfed" stance: In which the playstyle could be a bit sillier, perhaps maybe with a bit of Zui Quan influence. Here Greninja would focus more on slower, long-distance attacks performed primarily with his long tongue, with his grab also becoming a tether too. Perhaps maybe more combo-oriented and strategic, considering the fact that he trades speed and jump height for range, damage and knockback increase, so it would have to be more of a strategic opportunist, constantly looking for openings to punish heavily, albeit heavily punished for its own mistakes too.
Granted, my expectations are to high to actually be met, so Pic Related is what i'm leaning towards.
They can't screw up awesome capoeira fella, right?
