>>49879784Just because your Hoennbaby nostalgia blinds you to how utterly ugly the Hoenn starters doesn't mean I'm not right. All three are abominations in design with a bunch of random shit thrown on with no rhyme or reason, something the later starters actually had. The ugly tail and leaf arms of Sceptile, literally everything about Blaziken, the pointy whisker cheeks and orange warts Swampert has. Those things shouldn't ever be grouped with gen 1 and 2's starters because at least they look like actual wild animals. Gen 3 starters are dogshit because they're in the middle of being overdesigned garbage but before there was any kind of comprehensive theme that ties it's forms together, leaving them stranded between gen 1 and 2 (simple animals with some kind of addition to match their element) and gen 4 and later (has some kind of outer design element like samurai, royalty, journey to the west, world turtle, mermaids etc). You can't argue this point because it's true. Only Hoennbabies want to think their starters even deserve to be put on the same level.
