And my dad went through a period when I was in middle school that he didn’t approve of me liking it; probably because at the time Pokemon was seen as childish and he didn’t want me to be made fun of (which indeed I was). But, that passed and now he’s fully supportive of my love for it, and has become quite fond of it too
