>>55892206Generally I'd say "When or if the Pokemon wants to." its their body not yours let them choose to when to undergo that evolution- they're the one who has to live with that choice forever. The only thing worth a difference is in regards to movepools- if a Pokemon wants to learn a particular move that is not obtainable after evolution it would be wise to inform them of that before they evolve then once they get the move they can evolve. This also matters for stone evolutions.
