I was completely expecting to just drop Greninja entirely and run with Clawitzer, but once I managed to get my hands on a shiny Protean Froakie I was absolutely hooked. Being able to change between four different types on the fly is pretty great, and he filled a lot of the gaps I had in my party.
His Hidden Power even wound up being Poison, which helps immensely against fairy types. The only way I can think it could have been better is if he had gotten Steel, but under the circumstances I think I still lucked out.
