Empoleon's overall body shape is clearly a pear-shape, not an even oval. Its wings are clearly based off of a diamond, and while the head is rounded, there are plenty of sharper angles and areas based on rectangles or squares. There are plenty of straight lines and sharp points and corners. The shading, while also implies a 3D shape, doesn't imply a circle. There is a wide variety of different shapes used.
With a very large proportion of fakemon art, artists primarily use circles (I guess because cartoon=circle). They also use overtly large and round proportions, which is fine for some pokemon but not for all, and they also use very round shading. A lot of the art we have is great, but too much round makes a boring, clearly fake dex.
Not everything should be based off of ovals, or circles, or have large, equal proportions. We need more squares and diamonds and rectangles and triangles and straight lines and sharp points in our art.
