Personally Ambipom looks much better than Aipom. I get the feeling they were like I HAVE THIS AMAZING IDEA GUISE A MONKEY WITH A HAND FOR A TAIL and then they forgot where they were going with it until some fucking genius designed Ambipom when gen 4 rolled around, saving the thing from being forgotten for fucking ever. The nose and hair make it look smarter.
