>The black parts are a void/shadow - note the lack of headshape beaneath the hair prior to her becoming purple>All other aspects are based on emulating human characteristics>Large forward facing eyes>Large mouth capable of producing sounds similar to human speech>Hands with opposable thumbs and correct number of fingers>Breastplate and dress shaped body>Human style hair instead of fur>Jynx can be taught songs and dances by humansI get I'm giving Japan the benefit of the doubt here but since I've been old enough to give it any real though I've always viewed her as a collection of exaggerated human traits on a literal black/blank canvas. She's a species of pokemon committed to emulating her human neighbours and it fascinates me in the same way an Orangutan that can use a camera does.
It raises questions about the origins of Pokemon and humans in the Pokemon world. Maybe Jynx is pokemons missing link? Maybe she's simply a pokemon who adopted the traits gradually through interaction with humans?
She is the mystery of life itself and a truly unique entry - in an ever growing number of pokemon - whom I will always be thankful for.
