You realize that pokemon are not allowed to get physical with one another? And besides that do you know how hard it is to animate a gigantic snake grabbing various sized Pokemon?
You either make a algorithm from hell that can deal with this or put in special cases for multiple body types and this can get really hard with all the different pokemon sizes.
There is nothing wrong with a string that binds people see that EVERY pokemon reacts to that and its animated. Notice how the Onix shrinks based on it.
I literally don't see anything wrong with this.
