At the moment playing the game until you complete the chapter 1 tutorial should reward you with about 1,370 gems, which is only enough for four rolls. Ideally you would want a full ten roll to save time. If you can get Either Olivia or Brendan in your free roll, then that's a good starting point, since they are currently the best two Strikers in the game. If you didn't get them or a character you like go to the options menu, click "delete save data" and start over.

2.) tap "connect with friends"
3.) share the party number at the top in the thread
as someone joining an existing lobby:
1.) tap on poryphone
2.) tap "invitations" at the very bottom of the screen
3.) tap party number search and enter the number of the party you want to join
