If Masuda and Gamefreak are right then there's no point in complaining about features being removed over time instead of being revised and improved. And I really don't want this to be right, because if it is, players might as well stop looking for quality content on the newer games and start playing the older games instead. If the older games can give a better experience than the new ones, something is wrong.
