>>23239532Brobowl was kinda "eh" it had great moments but it felt rushed. I expected a lot more of Pikachu vs Bunnelby. I mean I know its just Pikachu and Bunnelby but come on their battle was pretty great. but the poor thing could only do one wild charge, I wanted to see a bit more of Clemont's strats at play and Ash kinda having a hard time coming up with something. Maybe even some flashbacks to some of their moments as bros. Episode one of the brobowl should had ended with the dragon getting D-Tail'd by Heliolisk, and then go from there.
Seriously this battle deserved a better treatment. This was Clemont's moment to shine, the battle that even through dialogue has been said to have started since they met. What kinda makes me angry is that the dragon gets what basically a two parter send off, what the hell?, but Clemont's gym couldn't be two episodes? A character which we've grown to like and who is a bro to Ash, and likely one of the best companions ever in the anime.
Don't get me wrong am not bashing the gym battle it was great. To me the moment when Ash and Clemont start mentally talking about how fun their match is up there with Serena's scene in episode 60 with the feels. I just wanted a bit more.
