You know that phase most kids have where they only use their overleveled starter? I started with Crystal and for some reason never stopped playing like that until gen5.
I think it was the news about only new mons and a lot of people complaining about limited team building that made me realize how much I had been missing out.
This was my first proper team ever, but I'm not entirely sure my memory is right because I always use Galvantula and Chandelure when I have the chance. I don't even dislike the gen5 starters, just needed to do something different after an entire decade playing like an absolute idiot.
