Everyone thinks to run him as the Swords Dance Close Combat wallbreaker set, but there's actually a better way of running him in my opinion, and that's the ultimate coverage pokemon, and be a sustain sweeper.
In terms of absolute coverage, Gallade's movepool offers the single greatest amount of super effective hits, hitting 14 out of the 18 types with Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Knock Off, and Earthquake.
With that ridiculous amount of coverage with a 110 speed at your back, you can check almost every threat out there short of priority hits like shadow sneak. If they outspeed you and get the first hit, just drain punch and get your health back.
It may not be the strongest set Gallade can run, but you can get a surprising amount of KO's simply because they're not counting on that much coverage from one pokemon.
