I've been thinking about the old Minka bird idea, with it being the rainbow serpent's counterpart, and I was thinking about the idea of the rainbow serpent's counterpart being monochromatic to better contrast with it. So I thought about kind of a charred paper look since the previous versions of it were all associated with fire, and a kind of simplistic, mysterious look, being a cross between an origami crane and quetzalcoatlus for that tall, imposing feel.
