>>55966952I always imagined that initially it was a natural spot and only later redesigned into the jewel thing of the final design. It's interesting how many johto pokemon seem to have had natural spots in their Japanese sprites editted out in their final designs though. Really interested in the bizarre pallet for Sneasel in GS though, shame that couldn't be its shiny instead of the hideous pink one we got.
