Honestly I do have the itch to try to learn hacking just to see if I could actually do better, but I'm not a big fan of Gen III and I don't know if I have the patience to learn Gen II hacking.

I just want to point out that you have to pay a $500 entrance fee here, but right next to him is a merchant, and there's no way to get money in this game other than from the rare boss, so while you'd have to be doing it on purpose, you could sell all your items, buy more, and repeat until you have less than $500, making the game completely unwinnable. I know RBY has a similar issue with the Lemonade, but that one is a lot harder to get and not so obvious while this is staring me dead in the face.
