There is nothing connecting fairy pokemon other than a feminine designs. Topegi and Snubull are not "fey" nor is Galaran Koffing. The closet they got in Gen VI was with Klefki as it actually acts like a fairy, as it's a magical explanation for a simple problem (Losing your keys). Sound had far more going for it and even now has much more interesting mechanics even without being an official type.
