Fact is, they can say Meltan's a fuckin' Gen 1 Pokemon when Bank eventually updates to be compatible for it and any Pokemon from the 2019 games by placing Meltan somewhere with the original 151, and we'll have no choice but to accept it as the word of God and that LGPE were in fact continuations of Gen 1.
Same logic applies to any other Generation that Meltan could be lumped with.
