>>55321425With the recent release of Palworld, there's been a lot of criticism towards Pokemon, but a good chunk of it is coming from misconception.
Pokemon DO have unique animations in the 3D games, there's no denying it. Pokemon have animations for when they use a physical move and a special move, some like Sableye have a third one as well. What happening is that people think moves like Twinkle Tackle (which isn't even in the game anymore) and Double Kick (which has actually been fixed in SV) are the norm when they're in the minority. The way things currently are is fine and it's the way games typically handle having so many playable characters with moves they all share. Cyber Sleuth and SMTV had some more unique animations, but otherwise they do the same thing as Pokemon.
At this point the conversation usually branches into being about the quality, but they still aren't particularly bad. At most people seem to just want an extra animation applied to everyone purely for kicking moves.
