Plenty of creatures grow old without becoming the strongest, or even a strongER, version if themselves. I imagine and equate it with an example of saying a psychic type that has evolved has reached a higher echelon of knowledge and intellect like a person or equivalent animal has learned new life skills or become an expert on a subject. Likewise you can say a physical Pokémon may have trained to grow muscle mass enough to reach a new peak, just as people can train to gain lots of muscle mass and also transform their bodies physically. Evolution is an adaptation that causes change and propels creatures to new heights, IF they can attain the goals/requirements needed to facilitate the change.

I wish there were just a better faster "it gets bigger" Scyther, since I fucking love Scyther and want an evolution on its original concept and not an alternate hand weapon but it's not interesting enough foe Gamefreak nowadays

It's weird really, they aren't even fucking memorable despite being the box art legendaries fused together into a supposedly mega cool being. Just goes to show how much they failed at something as easily simple as fusing Pokémon. Embarassing really. I guess Duskmane is passable but the others are pretty horrible.

Light is the only viable one, and needs these changes (assuming Nuclear and Cyber don't exist obviously) for an overall healthier metagame (AKA never ever tier):

-Remove effectiveness to bug and psychic.
-Add effectiveness to water
-Add weakness to grass, ice, and bug
-Bug, Normal and Ice resist it
-Immunity to fairy attacks and resistance to water
-Ground or rock (whatever that is) doesn't resist it and it doesn't hit it SE

Does it make sense? Not really. I think it'd be pretty balanced though.
