Arven's backstory was sad but he wasn't even around when the AI dude revealed the parent died, he just reached the conclusion himself, we don't even get some kind of gut wrenching scene where Arven is told about the death or anything, like they skipped over the most emotioally charged moments of someone's parents being fucking dead and just getting right to the aftermath of it, or something. Not to mention Nemona being totally detached from all of this to a frustrating degree just served to take me out of the scenes.
I dunno, I think if anyone got really upset over anything from these games, they likely only play Pokemon. The characters are absolutely endearing, but enough to bring someone to tears? You either have no frame of reference for what counts as emotional (due to only playing Pokemon) OR you just cry at anything a story prompts you to get sad at.
Turo/Sada fucking off was more funny than anything, "ah shit, my plan failed, guess I'll do what I wanted in the end lmao ok bye kids!", then they fucking Goku out of there. Christ
