>mon you'd pickI have plenty of favourites, and I was about to pick Mawile, but I doubt it would be easy to train a pokemon with no evolution, as it means it could be more powerful (and maybe temperamental) than something with multiple stages.
I think I'd settle for Weedle. For one, I love Beedrill. Two, it would evolve pretty quickly, meaning that the first steps of the journey would be easier with it. Three: poison type. I feel like the ability to poison other pokemon (aside from the obvious toxic) it's pretty underrated, as it should weaken the other pokemon pretty quickly. It would also be pretty fun to try and make it a strong member of the party, despite being one of the "early game" bug types.
