Team building matters just as much if not more than your skills in the battle itself.
Figuring out the best possible meta team is clearly of utmost importance. Just look at the top teams at world each year.
The meta is very centralized. A lot of the top teams look similar.
The top players are all vying to "solve" the meta as best they can.
The competition is about building the "best team" as much as it is about being "good at battling".
Since team-building is officially part of the competition, and clearly an important factor in who takes home the gold, surely you can see how cheating is a TREMENDOUS UNFAIR ADVANTAGE.
