>>51243890I ended up scrapping the 'collect by artist' idea. I opted instead for the sort of organization I have for my regular binders, but decided I would just create a portfolio for my 'favorites'. So, I guess that's the category I'm collecting by. favorites.
Front of the portfolio is for full art trainer cards. After that I have some standard trainers that like, that also doubles as placeholders for the full art versions of them from the same set. I figure when I get the full art to match, I can put them next to the regular. Then, there are pokemon. GX, then EX, then V. Then... I don't know what they're called, so I'll include an image. But these go next. Then, sorting is just by pokemon that i like, in chronological order of release/set number, followed by sets of specific 'mons. They share a row, or two, or however many it takes, and are organized the same as the entire portfolio. by release/set number.
tl;dr - I now have a lot of flexibility with what I can collect, and I'm really happy with my 'favorites portfolio'. I left a decent amount of empty slots between sections, so that I can expand.
