I don't particularly play Pokemon for the story anyways so my only real gripes with it is that the soundtrack is subpar, that you still can't do level 100 battles like you could back in Generation 4 and that pretty much all of the cries of pokemon from Generation 2 and lower have been absolutely destroyed. I recognize the need for GF to change them from their old 8bit cries, however the vast majority of them ended up worse and just as out of place as they would have if you left them.

I'm also disappointed that at first glance it doesn't appear that there's a whole lot of competitively viable Gen 6 pokemon, a lot of emphasis was made on Mega Evolutions and making older pokemon who were either never good or had fallen behind better, which is fine, but it's important to make good new pokemon as well.

The changes made to breeding and the Friend Safari are both great ideas and nerfing weather was something that was really needed.
