The nature of pokemon is derived from the buddhist concept of the animal realm. They are sentient and sapient, but by default are incomplete beings that cannot fully realize their own potential or rise above their base needs and instincts
The human is more advanced, in a spiritual sense, despite being a less powerful creature. So the pokemon submits to humans to exist in a way contrary to their nature that is more beneficial to their development, and only toghether they can achieve great life.
Its same as in real life, but here People dont care as much about nature, because People are full of themselves.
