"faithful" doesn't mean literally copy-pasting the entire art-style from a DS game (which was made that way because it was on a fucking DS) and just upping the resolution
like imagine FRLG only having the washed out GBC colors in an attempt to remain "faithful" to RG. It'd be fucking trash.
The whole fucking point of a remake, aside from attracting new players to an old game, is to LOOK BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL FUCKING GAME.
ORAS had this down at the very fucking least, in spite of all its flaws it looked good. so WHY THE FUCK DID THEY DROP THE BALL SO HARD HERE
