As for the Oaks, all we know is the Professor and Agatha were rivals at one point and might've had a thing for each other that didn't pan out, and, at least in the Spaceworld demo, Blue would've been so humiliated by his loss to Red he would've mellowed out and become one of Oak's aides. Gary's more humble behavior in the Johto seasons along with becoming a researcher are most likely a nod to this abandoned plotline.
There's not much to say about Red besides the serious expression he has in his art merely representing his game face. He's supposedly a lot more cheerful outside of battle. And unlike Ash's classic outfit, Red wears a red vest over a black shirt with white sleeves. This was first shown in promo art for 1995 and explicitly confirmed with his model sheet in Let's Go. His outfit in Masters has him wearing a more realistic vest, perhaps to make that point absolutely clear, much like Brendan's redesign for ORAS made it clear he's wearing a hat.
I suppose the fact I'm rambling about minor details like that shows just how little there is to really talk about there.
