>>38328882Because SM has no hype. It is just just a slice of life comedy with pokemon slapped into it. There is no journey, no goal, no rivalries, no progress. Cast just fucks around and does little to nothing. Ash's team is the second worst he had in his history, only better than the Johto one (even this is debatable). SM lacks the core appeal of pokemon anime and it shows.
