>>53986655>>DiamondWith Diamond I decided to go with Chimchar, Chimchar is actually my least favorite of the 3 but I know hes got a very happy fan base and wanted to give him a try this go around, First encounters go to the usual Bidoof, Starley and Shinx, im actually really happy with this set up since it guarantees a Budew and Abra encounter on the upcoming routes before Roark. I grind up Chimchar a little bit and take on the 2nd rival fight, Chimchar easily takes down their Starley and Budew slowly whittle down Piplup for easy levels, I unfortunately dont get abra but i really didnt think it was going to happen anyways with all my luck being taken up in the Ruby run, I get a Geodude encounter at the gate and while going to route 207 for the encounter i find a machop and at this point was a bit distracted and didnt realize that Bidoof was one shot with low kick, I do catch the machop but it immediately fell to the Mine encounter of Onix due to getting locked in with Bind, once Machop is down i actually fail the encounter due to running out of balls throwing 14 at onix and just had to end up feeding it to Budew. Since theirs no more encounters and im already set up i grind Chimchar up to Monferno at the lvl cap of 14 and take the gym on, the first too trainers are easily taken down with mach punch and budew one shots every team member roark had going. Hopefully the next encounter coming up i can give a zubat another chance.
