Adeline, my oc who uses ants and bees, got another redesign/redraw as well as a bunch of work done on them. I’ve found a potential idea I want to explore with them.
Quick tldr: she’s an odd child with a default stern expression who speaks bluntly and directly, which can make her come off as rude or controlling. Actually though, she’s not like that at all and is perceptive and empathetic. She just has difficulty with communication and that’s something I’d like to explore.
Things like social awareness, inferences, and tone go over her head when she’s spoken too. Her own ability to put her own raw thoughts into words is also lacking. Adeline however is aware of her difficulties and has found ways to overcome it. For example, she’s also more comfortable with logical and sequential thinking and has trouble with abstract/self-rule-breaking concepts. So when spoken too, she’s learned to stop and painstakingly analyze to-the-letter what people say to try and understand it. This often doesn’t work, and leads her to over-analyze and/or misunderstand. Adeline’s overthinking and self-awareness of her own failings to communicate is a source of anxiety for her since she also gets lonely, but struggles with the most important tool for forming human connections.
>>46639520>>46637731I like legend’s style. It taking inspiration from more than just feudal Japan I think is a good thing bc while I love it, it is a bit overdone and generic. Adding more is a good way to spice it up.
Bell lookw snazzy as well btw, and I like having the new MASS symbol. It fits.
