The guy writing this has his mind set on making something cool but with extremely poor execution.
What he could do to improve:
1. Stop with the Yu-gi-oh hair
2. Stop with the super-saiyen plot line
3. If you're going to have gay characters, don't force it on us. A character's quality shouldn't be "they are gay and do this" no, it should be "Okay they are this and this and maybe a bit of this but at some point mention that they happen to like someone of the same gender." Forcing sexuality on us is the cringe party not the fact they are gay and don't make it such a big deal.
4. Talking pokemon with humans, please stop this. I don't care if he has a 'gift' it doesn't work out very well.
5. Pokemon above and beyond the third generation.
6. Exposition up the ass much.
7. MAKE SHREDDER TALK MORE (He seriously is a really cool guy outside his voice acting, even then he actually is putting effort into his acting here)
8. Drop the yu-gi-oh hair/design again
9. stop trying to be an anime, making qualities of an anime is okay but making an anime doesn't work.
10. stop using Yu-gi-oh designs
11. Forced poor japanese stuff to make it "anime" doesn't make it anime

I don't like this but its like a trainwreck, its interesting to watch.
