If the nut does signify a kind of technologically advanced region or something along those lines, it might be a different "classification" of Pokemon in the same way Ultra Beasts were, maybe man-made or from the future or something. But for man-made, we already have a few of those in Mewtwo and Magearna so I'm not quite sure. We've clearly got dimension hopping in Gen 7, so maybe time travel at this point isn't too farfetched.
