>>50116511This is entirely true. Especially since Magearna was from a Gen 6 Movie centered around the AZOTH Kingdom which was hinted at in fucking ORAS.
It's a far bigger stretch than both but Galar probably stole these from Kalos, too. We already know most of the mechanics from Gen 7 originally got the axe from Gen 6, so there's a chance regional forms did too and they just brought them back as an excuse to make LGPE.
