Remember that you aren't just learning the joyo kanji in isolation you also need to learn vocab through reading, which takes YEARS of repetition through various materials in the language. I'm aware of shit like anki but trust me, reading is the fastest way to learn it, and that will take years. You can't shortcut your way to being fluent in a few months. No way.
