Everything aside though, the best evidence that Misty will end up with Ash is that 99% of what anybody associates with her as a character comes completely from the anime, not unlike Ash who is also an anime exclusive character, while Serena and Dawn have alternate existences as protags/rivals in their very own games. Serena ending up with Ash shits on game canon which the producers ultimately care more about than anime canon which is just a vehicle for shilling the games and other merch.
