1) It's symbolic. Bruno is LITERALLY the first trainer to be shown in the anime, when Ash is watching a League battle of his in admiration in literally the first episode.
2)Genetics. Ash has Bruno's spiky hair, tan skin and dark eyes, but also has Delia's face
3) when Ash and Brock were searching for Bruno, Delia somehow KNew the location where he was training near Pallet town
So far, Bruno being Ash's dad is the most plausible theory. It all really does come together
