I think the problem with Serebii is that if you are on the page you want to look at, you'll find everything you need there. Like if you look up the Pokedex entry for Gengar, there's all you need to know about Gengar and all the links you might need are also easily available (egg moves, pages for the prior evolutions, etc). But the problem is that it's so difficult to actually get on that page just by browsing the site. The navigation bar is a mess and the search doesn't work properly. It's easier to use Serebii if you just move between pages by typing on Google what you want to find, instead of trying to navigate there within the Serebii site. And that's a flaw in the design because no site is supposed to work so that you have to leave the site every time you want to look up a separate page.
I really like Serebii for info, I think the Pokedex pages are better than Bulbapedia because the main focus is on the mainseries game info and anime and manga appearances are secondary things. The front page is good for new info but whenever the info drops out from the top of the front page it becomes a huge pain to find again because of the terrible navigation the site has...
