>>55242036I know those covers are obvious fakes anyway but I want to point out that Red & Blue are not Game Boy Color games. Dual mode games (games that play on a GB but have colours or other features that activate when played on a GBC, usually in black cartridges) WERE inconsistently marketed as Game Boy or as Game Boy Color games but Red & Blue are NOT dual mode games. They do have Super Game Boy palettes and borders built in and they are on the GBC's internal list of games to assign custom palettes to, and these combined with the nonstandard cartridge colours sometimes trick people into thinking they are dual mode games, but they are in fact standard GB games. The first main series Pokémon dual mode game was the non-Japanese versions of Yellow, but it was still called a Game Boy game on the box. Gold & Silver were the first to be called Game Boy Color games, despite also being dual mode games - except in South Korea, where they were released as GBC exclusives.
