>>51254978Let’s Go and Sword and Shield are also great games. Nothing really mind blowing, but solid. The DLC really fills out the Sword and Shield experience. BDSP was nice. I had never played Generation 4, so the whole thing was newish to me. Due to White, my first experience with Cynthia was long past (she wrecked my team), so there wasn’t much I didn’t expect.
This brings me to PLA. It was everything I dreamed of as a kid, the combination of Zelda style 3D mechanics and Pokémon. It’s also the first game where you can legitimately catch the entire regional dex under one trainer ID. They also topped the Cynthia fight and mare shiny hunting fun.
Since that time, I’ve caught all the Pokémon on Home, including trading for Mythicals. Acquired a red Magearna and some other cool mons. I’m waiting cautiously to see what SV brings. With most of my Pokémon “goals” accomplished, there’s not much more to do but play the few games I haven’t touched yet (currently on Ultra Sun). I imagine I’ll be putting the games in storage in 2023 after burning though SV unless TPC gives me a reason to continue, but I’m sure, even then, I’ll be pulled back again into the amazing world of Pokémon.
