>>47432576They're one of the villain groups of Brumnim (That one tabletop group you've probably heard either here or in the Discord), and personally once you hear their story, you'll realize how they're a crystallized version of Brumnim as a concept.
They're divided into three factions:
Scientists! They're just there for the day job. Ain't doing anything wrong, they're researchers wanting to better health care, scientific studies, so on. There's probably a Marrow scholarship students could look into, who knows!
You got the grunts, usually just mercs looking for a job. These guys range from straight up being the worst of the worst, or just regular schmos. There's one grunt who was just getting high on the job, fishing up skeleton Kabuto because why not?
There's lastly, well, the assholes. These guys are purely here for Chaotic Evil reasons, don't befriend 'em! Unless you're into that. They'll probably give you a wedgie though when you let down your guard.
I'd also like to mention one of the side characters seen around the group, a Primeape with a big brain known as the Ape Scientist. He's one of the Pokemon of Team Marrow's leader, often showing up to heckle the party of a quest or three. He also has his own brand of cloned Pokemon, being those of the previous party's Pokemon. The best part? They have custom tokens, of which the guy who knows Team Marrow could share if he's willing to.
Lastly of what I wanted to mention, one of Ming-Ming's Pokemon, this Lycanroc here, is actually one of the Pokemon Marrow revived. They revive Pokemon in a prehistoric state, hence the rough look here.
