These all seem tl be lucky guesses, but the only piece of marketing that we can go by is the coloring book that's meant to promote the new anime. It shows Shaymin, Alola Vulpix, and Sylveon who are the partners of Mallow, Lillie, and Serena respectively. So it does lend credence to the idea of Lillie and Mallow being close friends. However, I still think this "leak" is just lucky guessing.

I will say this though. The summary for the new series sounds like an anime equivalent to Pokemon Masters rather than a simple SwSh adaptation. It would be pretty sad if the anime and a phone game end up featuring all the characters and pokemon while the latest mainline game cuts out pokemon.
