After replaying games multiple times, it's hard to remember what the originals were. That was my problem with Silver, I think I remember releasing my starter as Quilava and just training Pidgeot instead, but I also think I used a Typhlosion once too. I also remember Tauros, but I can't say whether that was the same game I had Pidgeot in. I think I've had all the Johto starters at one point or another.
