Alright. I think I've got a good plan in mind for the guy now. There were some great suggestions that I felt bad not taking, but they'll be perfect fits for some of the lesser battles along the way.
The game does have field effects, a la Pokemon Reborn, and that gave me some bias during teambuilding (maybe to the detriment of his theme, admittedly), but all in all I'm really liking what I have on paper.
